Many Maker Works members created totally original costumes in the shop, which were inspired by characters from like Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland, and The Addams Family. With a little elbow grease and creativity, these makers took Halloween to a whole new level.
Member Alexis won a judge’s award in the 2014 Youmacon masquerade competition with her awe-inspiring Maleficent costume, based on the lead character from the movie of the same name. The feathers were made using our laser cutter, and her ring was made using our 3D printer.
These butterfly wings were made by staff member Stu using used the laser cutter and strip heater.
Staff member Je’Tone used the Maker Works sewing machines to create this wonderful Mad Hatter costume.
Je’Tone also made what is quite possibly the cutest-ever Wednesday Addams costume. She used the Maker Works sewing machines for this, too.
