This class will introduce you to the Emco F1 CNC vertical milling machine. You will learn basic operation with an emphasis on safety. With the successful completion of this class you will be certified to use the Emco F1 CNC mill on your own.
Located in the Jewelry studio, this mill is for materials compatible with the jewelry environment. For machining ferrous and aluminum metals, see our Tormach and Bridgeport mills in the metal shop.
People ages 13-15 may take this tool checkout class with their parent/guardian (both adult and minor must register and pay). A parent/guardian who has taken the checkout class must also accompany them when operating the tool. Ages 16 and up are encouraged to take checkout classes in any area they wish, with parent/guardian approval.
